Unobtrusive. Authentic. Timeless.

Aaron’s approach to wedding photography is rooted in authentic storytelling. Rather than directing every moment or relying on staged recreations, he focuses on documenting your day as it naturally unfolds. From the quiet anticipation before the ceremony to the spontaneous laughter, tears, and celebrations shared with loved ones, Aaron captures the genuine emotions and meaningful interactions that make your wedding uniquely yours.

His unobtrusive presence allows moments to happen organically, preserving the atmosphere, energy, and connections that often become the most treasured memories. While he provides gentle guidance when needed—especially during portraits—his primary goal is to create images that feel honest, timeless, and deeply personal.

The result is more than a collection of beautiful photographs; it’s a carefully crafted visual narrative that reflects the true experience of your wedding day. Every image becomes part of a story you’ll be able to relive for years to come, exactly as it happened.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your wedding photography style?
My style is documentary with a hint of cinematic flash photography. I focus on capturing your day as it actually unfolds — real emotions, candid moments, and authentic connections — without staging or interrupting the flow of your wedding. When the light calls for it, I use off-camera flash to create cinematic, editorial-quality images that still feel natural and true to the moment. I work extremely hard to capture every part of your day while adapting to any conditions, whether that's a golden-hour outdoor ceremony or a dimly lit reception hall.
How many photos will we receive from our wedding?
The number of photos depends on your package and the length of coverage. For a full-day package, you can typically expect 800 or more professionally edited images delivered in your private online gallery. Every photo is individually color-graded and retouched — I never deliver unedited files or bulk dumps.
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
I recommend booking 4 to 8 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season dates in June, July, August, and September. Popular Saturdays in Southern Minnesota book up fast. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway — I occasionally have openings for shorter-notice weddings.
Do you travel for weddings outside of Owatonna or Southern Minnesota?
Absolutely. While I'm based in Owatonna, MN and serve the Southern Minnesota region including Rochester, Mankato, Faribault, and the Twin Cities, I'm available to travel for destination weddings and elopements. Travel fees may apply for locations beyond a 60-mile radius — just ask and I'll provide a custom quote.
What happens if the weather is bad on our wedding day?
Weather is one of the things I adapt to best. My documentary approach means I'm always working with whatever conditions exist — overcast skies, rain, and dramatic clouds often produce some of the most beautiful and emotional wedding photos. I come prepared with lighting equipment and creative solutions so that no matter what the day brings, your gallery will be stunning.
Will you be the photographer at our wedding, or will you send someone else?
When you book Aaron Guzman Photography, you get Aaron — period. I personally photograph every wedding I accept. I never subcontract or send a second shooter in my place. This is your wedding day, and you deserve to have the photographer you chose actually be there.
How long does it take to receive our wedding photos?
Your full edited gallery is delivered within one week of your wedding day. You'll receive a private online gallery link where you can download your photos, share with family, and order prints directly. I also offer a rush delivery option if you need photos sooner.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes, and I highly recommend them. An engagement session gives us a chance to work together before your wedding day so you feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. It also gives you beautiful photos to use for save-the-dates, your wedding website, and social media. Engagement sessions are included in select packages and available as an add-on for others.
What is included in your wedding photography packages?
All packages include full coverage of your wedding day, professionally edited images delivered in a private online gallery, and a full digital print release so you can print your photos anywhere. Packages vary by hours of coverage, number of photographers, and whether an engagement session is included. I offer three tiers starting at $2,000 — view full package details above or contact me for a custom quote.
Do you have backup equipment in case something goes wrong?
Yes. I carry multiple professional camera bodies, a full set of backup lenses, and redundant flash equipment to every wedding. Every image is simultaneously written to two memory cards, so your photos are protected from the moment I take them. I treat your wedding day with the same level of preparation a professional sports photographer brings to a championship game — because that's exactly what it is.
